The brief
From booking to boarding, in your pocket.
Alaska wanted the whole trip on the phone: find a flight, check in, track it and board with a pass that scans at the gate. We designed the app and mobile web so every step works one-handed, in a line, on the move.
- 01Mobile boarding pass
- 02Check-in and flight status
- 03Booking on mobile web
- 04Account and sign-in

The app
The pass, on the phone.
A boarding pass built to be scanned: the barcode up front, flight, seat and gate a glance away, and status that updates as the day changes.

Mobile web
Every flow, one thumb.
Sign in, flights, booking and check-in, with errors that tell you exactly what to fix.

Process
Whiteboard first.
Flows were argued out on the wall before a pixel moved.

Everywhere
iPhone, Android and the web.
One system across platforms, so the trip looks and works the same whichever phone you carry.

See you up there.

Next project
Target
Campaigns, the weekly ad, recipes and grocery, across app, mobile web and the store.
